OVER-RIPENING WINES
These wines come from a noble alteration of the grape, called Over-ripening. It results in exceptional wines when the uncertain conditions of late autumn manage to concentrate the sugars that the vine has placed in its berries. Allowing then to reach a sugar content that the plant can not produce itself.
Our late Harvest and Selection of Noble Grains vintages are exclusively from Fronholz because it naturally predisposes grapes to over-ripening. Its sheltered exposure of the rising sun gives it a notable morning humidity. It benefits in return from a prolonged radiation at sunset, at the hottest hours. These conditions allow us to produce great sweet wines.
PINOT GRIS LATE HARVEST
Gourmet and chiseled
The complex nose, delicious and slightly truffled, evokes citrus fruit, candied fruit and apricot. On the palate, a surprising salty acidity gives a lot of punch to the balance. The final is of a great freshness.
Wine of pure greediness, it accompanies the appetizer, a cooked paste cheese or simply
the end of meal.

GEWURZTRAMINER LATE HARVEST
Such an evidence
Between Fronholz and Gewurztraminer, it’s a love story. This wine does not deny it. Intense nose of licorice, grapefruit, honey and candied fruit. The palate is rich and full, balanced by a nice freshness. The finish gives a pleasant feeling of frosted citrus. Foie gras and strong blue cheeses are its best allies.
